(April 14-16, 2011)

Hurricane Sammy flew into Port Charlotte, Florida, on Thursday April 14th, for the Golden Gloves Florida and Southeastern Regional Tournament on the wings of Pegasus. He didn't come to play games, he came to win - and win he did! Taking the Quarter Finals after defeating Martin Lagunas; Taking the Semi Finals after defeating Alan Garcia; And taking the Finals after defeating Richard Burgos! Sammy could do no wrong. His flying fists, his superior footwork and his quick reflexes were no match for any of his competition. He took it all!

Hurricane Sammy on Saturday, February 19th, 2011, became the 2011 US Open State Champion. His opponent, Martin Lagunas, was a very good and extremely tough fighter but Hurricane Sammy overcame the battle. Now we go to the Region Three to compete for a spot on the National Team.
